Scooby-Doo is a popular American television programme for kids. The original was written by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears for Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1969. Scooby-Doo has now adapted into many different types of entertainment, including games, toys, and clothing. In popularity, the series held similarities to Tom and Jerry. It was a Saturday morning cartoon when it first came out. Scooby-Doo is based around four normal teenagers - Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Norville "Shaggy" Rogers - and a clumsy, talking dog called Scooby-Doo (hence the title) . Together, they solve mysteries and crimes, and experience hilarious moments. The Scooby-Doo series have made films as well.
